We can assist you with the logistics of your move, providing a comprehensive service, tailored to your needs. Providing trusted guidance, that is entirely flexible, we are here to make your move as stress free as possible.

We firmly believe in focusing on what we do best and turning to trusted experts where their knowledge exceeds our own. Whilst we don’t directly source properties for purchase or rent, we work closely with carefully selected partners who have extensive experience and insight into the Edinburgh property market. We know the areas we’d personally love to live in – the sought after neighbourhoods, the hidden gems, and the schools nearby, state and independent – and we are happy to point you in the right direction.

Logistics

Logistics of relocation, refers to the planning, coordination, and management of the movement of your possessions from one place to another – organizing how, when, and what you move from your old home to the new one—including transportation, packing, timing, and utilities setup.

This is the time when we discuss timeframes, housing, schools, locations – a broad outline of what you need.

Planning

We will work closely with you to create a clear, personalised moving plan. Whether you are upsizing, downsizing or just starting fresh, we will help you map out every step.

Co-ordination

The real stress of moving often lies in the details – the dozens of tasks that pile up and compete for your time and energy. That is where we can help. The more you do before the packers arrive, the better. It’s the calm before the storm. You do not want to be unpacking items that should have long been disposed of, or handed over to a relative, donated or sold.

We offer a hands-on help with the coordination of your move, taking care of the run up before and on the day:

  • helping declutter/ auction house/ clearance
  • supervising items going to storage
  • organizing the collection of keys to your next house/ checking cleaning/ inventories/ gardens
  • help unpacking at the far end
  • hands on help to ensure things run as smoothly as possible

Administrative Support

Moving comes with a mountain of paperwork. We have extensive checklists at your disposal and are happy to help pre and post move with the admin involved leaving your current home and setting up a new one where we can. This includes:

  • updating various insurance – car, home, life etc
  • setting. p/cancelling Wi-Fi, TV, utilities, council tax
  • managing change of address notifications
  • postal redirection
  • registering for on-street parking
